I Wish There Were A God So I Can Ask It Why

Why did I watch The Princess Diaries?  And why did it inspire some actual useful thinking?  It pains me to admit that such sacchariny schlock could actually lead to breakthroughs, however minor.

Argh.  I blame my Muse.
