Your Daily Dose of Health Care Reform Stupidity

Ah, there's nothing like a Con bravely running away from his own extreme rhetoric:

On Thursday, the National Republican Campaign Committee worked alongside the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (AAPS) to host a small rally opposing President Obama and his health care reforms. Earlier in the day, ThinkProgress caught up with a spokesman for AAPS, who explained that the group opposes any government involvement in health care and supports privatizing Medicare. Similarly, at the rally, Rep. Tom Price (R-GA) — a card carrying member of the AAPS — promised the audience that “we will not rest until we make certain that government-run health care is ended.” Asked by ThinkProgress to explain if his pronouncement included the government-run program of Medicare, Price evaded:

Q: You said on the stage that you wanted to end government healthcare, do you support privatizing Medicare?

PRICE: What government-run medicine does is forces other individuals besides themselves and their families making medical decisions. [...]

Q: You said on the stage that you want to get rid of government-run healthcare, what’s the difference between Medicare and the public option?

PRICE: No what I support is allowing patients to make independent medical decisions.

I guess the old people gave him an earful back when he was yawping about how awful Medicare is. Talk about trying to eat your cake and have it, too!

Maybe Rep. Price is too busy scamming doctors to think through the consequences of what he's saying. Or maybe he's just a two-faced fucktarded Con who's busy scamming doctors and old folks.

Speaking of two-faced fucktards, check out DeMint doubling down on his Waterloo remarks.

With opposition like this, it's hard to understand why the White House is so eager to please. But here they are, doing Baucus and Conrad one better on denying care to undocumented immigrants just to prove to Rep. Wilson that really truly they totally won't ever let icky illegals get no stinkin' health care, even if those immigrants are paying for it themselves! And they are doing this apparently because they are oh, so horrified that they could possibly be seen as liars by such a wonderful guy as Rep. Joe Wilson.

How do we know he's a wonderful guy? Why, just a few years ago, he voted to pay for health care for... undocumented immigrants.

Ah, hypocrisy. Wherever would you be without such eager hypocrites as the Cons?
