Anyway, those of you who know what I'm referring to should feel free to babble about how much they adore the show in comments. For those of you not yet addicted, all I can say is that I'm terribly sorry.
A blog containing tequila and truth, science and skepticism, culture and cynicism, wordsmithing and wonder, and an abundance of alliteration.

Fan since 1973. Currently several years behind in watching. :-( If you see my life anywhere, send it back over here...
I came to it a bit later. It wasn't until I moved to a place where one of the local public TV stations carried it on Saturday nights. For a while, thanks to the scheduling processes of two different TV stations, it was on after Star Trek: The Next Generation. The contrast was stark - Doctor Who didn't have a quarter of the budget that ST:TNG did. Writers work cheap, in contrast to explosives experts and computer programmers. As a result, DW had cheesy special effects, but often featured very good writing. ST:TNG often seemed to be the exact opposite.
The new show is quite a bit different - if you've seen Farscape, you may recognize the style. Still, it's addictive and very entertaining.
I <3 Doctor Who. Just got into Torchwood recently, too. Cannot wait until April 23 when Season 6 starts up.
