Your Daily Dose of Health Care Reform Stupidity

A small dose today, as it seems Cons were far too busy being stupid on other subjects.  But a good dose, none the less.

Tom Coburn's so desperate to stop health care reform he's trying to enlist the help of teh gays.  You know.  The LGBT community that he's spent so long disparaging, denigrating, and denying rights to.  That LGBT community.

You just can't make this shit up.

Newt Gingrich is leading the charge in repealing health care reform, even before it's passed, even though overwhelming majorities want health care reform.  How pathetic are these people?  I don't believe we have instruments to measure quantities of pathetic that large.

Meanwhile, AHIP's playing all innocent: "What, us?  Put out a deceptive, not to mention totally bogus, study?  Never!"  Go on, pull the other one - it's got bells on.

Harry Reid wants us to know that folks in the Senate who are busy working on mooshing together the SFC and H.E.L.P. bills are kinda sorta maybe a little bit leaning toward talking about the public option.  Greg Sargent has a much more indulgent opinion of his wet noodlery than I do.

Meanwhile, Nancy Pelosi's got some sweet CBO numbers, and she's making ready to charge ahead with a robust public option.

And Ben Nelson tries to wriggle out of the uncomfortable constraints of its popularity.  I don't think he's going to quite manage it.

Prepare for the long slog ahead, my darlings.  I'm sure there'll be plenty o' stupid along the way.
