According to the CIA's statistics, the average life expectancy in Canada is 81 years. In the U.S. it's 78. They live three years longer than we do, in a climate that's generally worse and a country that has far more wilderness.

You mean Canadians live longer because of the metric system?
Man, you guys are so screwed.
I just had a look at the figures - in Australia, the life expectancy figures are about a year higher than for Canadians (both for males and females).
That horrible socialized (or in our case, semi-socialized) medicine - it keeps poor people alive. And what do they do? Some of them turn around and vote.
Can't have that! They might vote for the other guy...
